Episode 6 : Lights, Camera, Sew!

Challenge: Designers must create a look inspired by a movie genre.

Favorite Designer(s): Epperson, Christopher

Least Favorite Designer(s): Ra'mon, Louise

Winner: Nicholas

Competition Over For: Ra'mon

Yeahs ::

• The make-up rocked!
• Carol Hannah's reminded me of a hot superhero.
• Christian's rocked as always, Victorian hot!
• Epperson, his best yet.
• Nicholas liked the top but the rest didn't look so hot on tv. In the picture above, it looks pretty good.

Nays ::

• Ra'mon struggled, with 2 hours left he had to re-create his look. In the end, it looked like a scaly mess. Sad to see him leave.
• Designers were more stressed than usual.
• Althea's, to plain compared to the other looks.
• Louise's, a mess of fabric.
• Logan's, not bad but not great either.

New Lotta At Borders

Spotted on Border's shelf, Lotta's Printing Studio. It's a small kit that looks like a companion to Lotta Prints. The kit includes 2 carving knives, 2 printing sponges, 6 stencils (already cut) drawn by Lotta, and a 48 page booklet full of projects. This booklet includes highlights from Lotta Prints and some new projects.

Episode 5 : Fashion Headlines

Yeahs ::

• Material- newspaper. I love seeing what the designers create with these crazy challenges.
• Designers could use muslin as long as it doesn't show.
• Johnny whined to the judges that his first dress was ruined and he had to make a new one. He told the judges the dress was very Dior. Nicholas called him out in front of the judges. Told the judges that it wasn't no Dior and what Tim thought about it. Tim called it a bad craft project.
• Actually outfits that looked like they were made with fabric: Ra'mon's, Epperson's, Logan's, Althea's, Christopher's, Irina's

Nays ::

• Some of the designers bashed Shirin for talking a lot while she creates.
• Johnny tore up his dress because Tim didn't like it. Then he made up a lie as to why he got rid of the dress.
• Irina's nemesis, Althea. Jealous a little?
• Louise's collar, again. What's with all these ugly collars she keeps making?
• Nicholas talked major smack about Johnny's dress. But the judges told Nicholas that his dress looked like an insect. His wasn't much better.

Episode 4 : What A Woman Wants

Challenge: Designers must create an eye-catching look for an industry event - listen to what the models/clients want.

Guest Celebrity Judge : No celebrity this week.

Favorite Designer(s): Irina, Althea

Least Favorite Designer(s): Qristal, Christopher (just the top portion)

Winner: Althea

Competition Over For: Qristal

Yeahs ::

• Christopher admits the judges might not go for Epperson's dress, but he recognizes the style and gives him some props.
• Epperson's dress rocked.
• Carol Hannah's dress was fab, but the top stood out to me. I loved the top portion.

Nays ::

• Irina trashing Althea's 3 piece outfit.
• Logan's shiny (silver?) tight pants.
• Nicholas's dress didn't fit right on the top. To loose.
• Louise's puffy collar.
• Ra'mon's huge flower. I'm so not a fan of huge flowers or bows.

Episode 3 : Rumble On The Runway

Challenge: California Surf Inspired Look + Companion Avante-Garde Look

Yeahs ::

• Designers worked in teams of 2.
• Even though he got cut, Mitchell had a hot outfit.
• Judges spiced things up - the winner and loser were from the same team!

Nays ::

• Designers clashed a lot.
• Mitchell, bitchy bitchy bitchy. Leaves all the work to his partner.
• The bomb: create a 2nd avante-garde look.
• Terrible match ups: Epperson and Qristal, Mitchell and Ra'mon.
• Model drama: Carol Hannah's dropped out right before fitting.
• Garnier, bad product placement.
• Oooo, Qristal your a little mean.
