Lightbox

I created my lightbox by following this easy and cheap tutorial ... link. I still have a lot to learn about photography. But, I'm very grateful for my new lightbox ... and of course Photoshop.

I found this cute Japanese import store, right down the street. I picked up some new mugs and the most adorable tape. Here are the items. Pictures are taken in my new lightbox.

*UPDATE* new link ... I forgot to post this link. It's genius! Ikea Hackers posted pics from people who turned Ikea hampers into lightboxes.

I am definitely going to try this - especially now winter is more or less here. The light is always so terrible for taking photos.

Thanks for the link.

The frame for the thermofax screen is plastic which is great for washing up. The screen is taped very securely to the frame. The frame is also reusable so when this screen is finally done with I can buy just the screen and not the frame. ALthough the frame is only a couple of Euros so I am not sure it is worth it.

I'd like to know how this compares to printing on fabric with a gocco screen.

I've looked at several of those tutorials before but haven't made one yet. Your pictures looks great!

Guess I need to add that to my list.

Oh I can't wait to try this. We've tried a lightbox set up in the past similar to this but it just didn't work well. I will have to share this one with my husband.

Thanks!!

I didn't realise it was the same stuff as Gocco. I really like it. Cost wise it probably works out more expensive than using photo emulsion, but is more reliable for me right now! Shame you can't find anywhere to do it. The machines are just too expensive to consider. Shame we don't live nearby and can share a machine!

I really need to make myself one of these. I have no idea how long I've been meaning to. Looong! Maybe one day I'll actually get round to it. ;-)

Yours looks fab!
