Teaser Tuesdays :: Blue Moon

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

Teaser :: I burst through the door and into the alley, gazing around the narrow empty space as my eyes adjust to the darkness, making out a row of overflowing Dumpsters, a trail of broken glass, a hungry stray cat-but no Damen. (Pg 73 of Blue Moon by Alyson Noel)

Reviews ::

Playing along? Share some teasers, whether it's from a craft book, novel, self-help book, magazine, what ever you're reading. Leave your teasers in the comment section or post a link so I can read your teasers.

"You don't have to worry too much about placing your seed too deep, in part because Mel's Mix is loose and friable. If the seed is planted too deep for the kind of seed it is, as soon as it begins to receive moisture, nature will tell it, 'Get going, buddy, put some roots down and start growing'" (p. 121).

from All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew

friable - (adjective) easily crumbled

Just in case somebody didn't know. It was a new word for me.
