Link to Ceramic Transfers

Skinny Laminx has a fabulous tutorial on how to create Ceramic Transfers. I'd love to screenprint my own transfers. Now I just have to get a hold of transfer paper and vitrifying ink (as recommended by Heather). Never heard of that kink of ink. Anyone know where to get some? It's off to Google vitrifying ink.

I just found your blog while I was Google-ing 'vitrifying ink' and I love your prints!

If you happen to find out what vitrifying ink is will you post about it? I work for 2 different screen printers whom I have yet to ask about it. Hopefully they can tell me! If so, I'll let you know.

I think that vitrifying ink is probably specialist ink for fusing onto ceramics, so you might have to find a printer who prints decals for the ceramic trade. At college they have some sheets of transfer to do this but I won't be back there until October to ask. I know when you screen print onto glass it has to be special ink that can be put in the kiln and this can be bought from the ceramic suppliers if I find out more I will let you know.

Venetian Blue: I'd love to screenprint on glass. Please let me know when you find out about the ink.

hmmm I thought screenprinting on glass would be easy as my college do quite a bit of it but the problem was I wanted to use turquoise and they did not have that colour(?) so I am going to send way for it. I have also screenprinted onto aluminium which was great you can see the result here:
